Political Representation As a first line of contact between citizens and the political system, political parties connect grassroots priorities and needs to national policies. At the Oslo Center, we believe in peaceful societies where the needs of all are represented in political decisions. Inclusion At the Oslo Center, we believe that it is important that all voices and perspectives are represented and heard to establish strong and peaceful societies. Though women and youth are large demographics, their representation in democratic processes are still restricted, yet their views are imperative to create inclusive societies that tackle current and present challenges. Our Geographic Coverage
Developing democracies is a long-lasting and meaningful journey, and we are honored to continuously support people working to make their own countries more democratic. To make a meaningful impact, we believe that building sustainable partnerships are better for our foundation’s work and focus. In the past, the Oslo Center has been present in Burma, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Ukraine, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan and others. To sharpen our focus and offer the best we have to offer to our partners, the Oslo Center will primarily be focusing on East Africa and Eastern Europe for the next strategic period.
