The Oslo Center is looking for new finance and accounting intern for the spring semester 2022!

The Oslo Center was established in 2006 by former Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik and former Cabinet Minister Einar Steensnæs as an independent, non-partisan, non-governmental organization. The main areas of work have been peace, democracy, and human rights, and through the years, the center’s mission has increasingly focused on democracy assistance. The Oslo Center takes a holistic approach to democracy assistance, working with political institutions and processes, including political parties, governance actors, civil society, and independent commissions and offices.

The finance intern will work closely with the Oslo Center’s team and be working in several areas related to both finance and administration. Tasks related to the position:
1. Review and registration of invoices from vendors in order to ensure accuracy in billing (including registration of reconciliations and reimbursements)
2. Process invoices, enter and confirm prices in the system
3. Maintain and keep up information concerning approved vendors and vendor producers in order to avoid unauthorized invoices and expenses
4. Assist in financial reporting
5. Contribute to the development of new procedures and routines
6. Office management such as answering inquiries (Phone and e-mail) in both Norwegian and English.
7. Budget analysis and procurement
8. Content creation

The Oslo Center has collaboration agreements with the master’s programs, University of Oslo, and the student trainees associated with these programs are given student credits for the period at The Oslo Center.
