Meetings with government officials in Astana

The former Prime Minister of Norway, now the President of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights Kjell Magne Bondevik and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, have conducted meetings with government officials in Astana 25th of November 2011. The topics of the meetings have been freedom of religion and other fundamental human rights in Kazakhstan, where they have expressed their concern regarding the new law on religion and the new Law on introducing Amendments and Additions recently adopted by the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
