Finn Jarle Rode

Executive Chair

Finn Jarle Rode is the new elected Chairman of the Governing Board of the Oslo Center. He is following Former Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, who take on of the seats as member of the Governing Board

Finn Jarle Rode is currently working as an Executive Director of The Hepatitis Fund. He has done a turnaround operation the last years for The Hepatitis Fund, both in terms of finances as well as strategically. In the past he was holding the position as an Executive Director of The Oslo Center.

Mr. Rode has previously served as Director for Global Partnership team of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) headquarters in Geneva. He has more than 15 years of experience in IFRC/ICRC and Norwegian Red Cross. He has been IFRC’s Country Director in Afghanistan, North Korea, Pakistan, and Regional Director for Eastern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands. He has been holding the position of Chairman in several Governing Board.

Mr. Rode has also held different positions in the private sector in Norway, including within shipping and the hotel industry. He holds an MBA, with in depth focus on organisational development and international finance. We are very grateful of the return of Mr Rode and look forward to his professional and strategic guidance to take The Oslo Center into the future of democracy development.
